Tomb Raider Continues to Deliver Great Content – PAX East 2019

During PAX East 2019, we had the chance to sit down and play the latest DLC for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. DLC 6, The Grand Caiman is out and available for you to play now. If you’re a season pass holder, you already have access.

In Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s new DLC, a ferocious deity threatens the lives of innocent San Juan villagers. To save them, Lara will battle a deadly group of mercenaries in order to prevent a cataclysmic disaster. Solve the new volcanic challenge tomb and reap its powerful rewards.

We had a ton of fun playing this DLC. The developers did let us know that the difficulty was ratcheted up a notch for our play session. The Co-Op aspects are always a great addition to any Tomb Raider game. The traversal and puzzle solving is the perfect mix of challenge and fun. There are also some guns and outfits that will be available for the single player campaign and other game modes. Find more information about that HERE.

DLC 7, The Path Home is set to release to release April 23rd. Again, if you are a season pass holder, you will be able to download this right away.

Discover the ultimate secret of the ancient guardians of Paititi! In the aftermath of the final battle, Lara Croft must track her missing allies through long-lost tunnels, defeat the superior weaponry of the last remnants of Trinity, and solve the deadly mysteries of a challenge tomb lost for centuries. The Path Home offers new customization options, with the Midnight Sentinel outfit, the Silver Strike bow, and the Magic Touch skill, which allows Lara to use fewer resources to craft when on the run.

The Square Enix team has been doing a great job with the post release content they have been providing to gamers. Shadows has been an example of how a story driven game can have great longevity and co-op experiences. If you are a fan of the Tomb Raider series, be sure to invest in the season pass. It is a great value. We will have more information and content surrounding the DLCs coming soon. Keep and eye out on the YouTube channel for more content.
