THQ has officially announced that it will indeed be auctioning off rights to a huge selection of its back catalog which includes Darksiders, Red Faction, and Homeworld. THQ has split up its giant back catalog of titles into six different lots, which includes Destroy All Humans, MX vs ATV series, Supreme Commander, Full Spectrum Warrior, and many more.
Last month THQ sold three of its THQ Inc. owned studios and games in development which included two highly anticipated titles Metro: Last Light and South Park: The Stick of Truth, as well as Homefront 2.
THQ has also detailed instructions on bidding and purchasing these properties by submitting bids after going through the proper channels and authorization. After a bid is submitted THQ will ensure approvals by speaking with the several entities THQ owes money to. Initial bids will begin taking place April 1st. Once THQ has also obtained a primary and back-up bid, it will have to be presented in court to receive approval which is scheduled to take play this May.
