Writer: Marisa Sundell

Marisa is a 19 year old Minnesota native, majoring in psychology and philosophy. Most of her time is spent studying. Her favorite games are Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Okage: Shadow King and the Dragon Age games. She’s also a “Whovian” and likes to paint Doctor Who related things. She also takes a liking to Magic the Gathering and DnD.

What is your favorite thing about video game journalism?

I love that I am able to get news before most, and that I am able to have the chance to be able to inform others of that news before anyone else. Also it’s just plain cool to be able to tell people I write for a video game site.

What is your first video game memory?

My first video game memory is when I was 5 years old on Christmas, opening a Nintendo 64 and getting Mario Kart and Ocarina of Time and being super ecstatic about it.  I played both those games, and all the others I have, non-stop throughout my childhood and frequently to this day.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Some sort of power that would allow me to be like a human Tardis and have the ability to travel time and space. Yeah. That would be super cool.

Favorite thing to do outside of gaming?

When I’m not gaming, I’m usually eating, painting or listening to music…or all three.

What are you looking forward to in the next year? Any goals?

Well, I recently moved out of my childhood house and my hometown and to a new college, so I’m looking forward to all the opportunities that will arise with that. Other than that, I look forward to the awesome games coming out in 2013, and the cool stuff I’m going to get to write about! My goals are the usual….to be more spontaneous, do good in school and the like.
