Team NINJA Releases New Screens and Details About Dead or Alive 5 Plus

Team NINJA announced and expanded upon some of the features that Dead or Alive 5 Plus, for the PlayStation Vita, will support. One thing that the Vita seems to be doing well is the ability to support cross-platform play between the PlayStation 3 and the Vita. Come March 19, 2013, players will be able to fight and play matches between both platforms.

One feature that was announced but was a bit vague last time around was the Touch Play Mode. Dead or Alive 5 Plus will feature fights in first-person view. The combat will be determined by accurately placed taps anywhere on the opponent’s body, or by touching, flicking, and pinching the screen. Team NINJA also states that the first-person view allows for the highest amount of detail.

The Vita version of DOA5 promises a higher level of detail by increasing the frame data. More frame data, means three times the details for each punch and kick you or your enemies throw. There will also be a training mode used to help players build upon their skills through a series of challenges. These challenges help to display different styles and skills to the player.

If you can’t wait until March 19th to see DOA5 Plus, take a look at these screenshots down below featuring Touch Play and Training Plus Mode screenshots. The game actually looks pretty, well, pretty  if I do say so myself.
