Star Wars Episode VII Gets A Subtitle – The Force Awakens

With the exception of Episode IV: A New Hope, every Star Wars release has seen a subtitle. Don’t expect that to change with the upcoming Episode VII.

The announcement came over the official Star Wars Twitter account that Episode VII, which has completed principal photography. The movie will be also known as The Force Awakens.

Comicbook.com has also spotted trademarks have been filed for both starwarstheforceawakens.com and theforceawakens.com. At the time of this writing, any attempts to visit those websites end with a failure to find a page, but expect them to soon be filled with plenty of viral content for fans to discover.

Plot details remain scarce, which shouldn’t be surprise considering director J.J. Abram’s history. We know that series veterans Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford are making their return, but beyond that we’re still waiting to hear further information.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens will be in theaters December 18th, 2015. That’s only 13 months away. Not that long of a wait, right? At least there are plenty of other blockbusters to look forward to earlier next year.

Hopefully I don’t have to sit through an entire episode of The O.C. to wait for a trailer this time around.

And it wasn’t even the first season of The O.C. That was the only one you could call enjoyable.

Why am I talking about The O.C.?
