Skyrim to no Longer Receive New Content

Bethesda has decided to move on from Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, providing online critical updates if needed.

The good news about no more DLC for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is that the Bethesda team are now free to work on another “major” project. Could this be Fallout 4, a new Elder Scrolls game, or Elder Scrolls Online that we already know about (check out our PAX East article on Elder Scrolls Online here) or a mystery game that has yet to be announced?

For the last year and a half we’ve been working on new content for Skyrim; from the game updates, Creation Kit, Steam Workshop, Kinect support, to DLCs. Parts of our team have also been in pre-production on our next major project, and that game is at the point where it requires the studio’s full attention to make it our biggest and best work yet.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim saw three different DLCs: Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn. All three DLCs for Skyrim are currently available for XB360, PS3 and PC. Some might argue that three DLC packs were not enough but for a game as large as Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, there’s still plenty of adventuring to do.
