Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus Port Gets Some Nice Screenshots

XSEED has released a collection of new screenshots for its PC version of Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus, and they look pretty awesome.

XSEED has released two sets screenshots via twitter, detailing the devlopment of the PC version of Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus. They claim that the port is “coming along beautifully!” XSEED’s followers seem excited, but expressed concerns about the frame rate, and wanting a PlayStation 4 port as well. The game was originally released on PlayStation Vita in 2013, in japan, and 2014, stateside. Currently, it’s an interesting time for PC ports of games, as many haven’t matched up well to their console counterparts. It looks like XSEED is trying to create a quality product as the screenshots look very clean and clear. There’s no release date as of yet, and no trailer of the game in action.

This is the third game in the Senran Kagura series. The game revolves around a rivalry between three all female ninja clans and an event called the Shinobi Battle Royal. One clan invades another, and their goal is to defeat all of their enemies. The story is revealed through the individual point of view of whichever girl you choose to play as. There’s a roster of 20 different characters, and a host of different weapons to use.

As far as game play goes, it’s a frantic beat ’em up. The girls use super powered moves and transform in very Sailor Moon, Kill La Kill esque cut scenes. Like Kill La Kill, there’s a lot of fan service and fan service related humor to be had. However, be warned, the game’s aesthetics might not be for everyone. Check out the PlayStation Vita release trailer below to get an idea of what the Senran Kagura series is like. The game looks fast paced and smooth, and hopefully the PC version will live up to the Vita version.
