SDCC 2013 | Nightcrawler Returns this Fall in Amazing X-Men!!!!

Revealed at San Diego Comic Con, the one and only Nightcrawler will be returning this fall is Amazing X-Men from creative of Jason Aaron (Wolverine & the X-Men, Thor) and Ed McGuinness (Deadpool, Hulk, Superman). For fans of the Elf, this is terrific news indeed.

Marvel seems to have a grudge against Nightcrawler. Why is anyone’s guess, but they do love to kill him.  The main version was killed in Second Coming protecting Hope Summers. Ultimate Nightcrawler was killed (along with many others) in Ultimatum. X-Termination claimed not one, but two versions of our blue swashbuckler, AoA Kurt Darkholme, and Kid Nightcrawler from X-Treme X-Men. Why Marvel enjoys killing this character so much is unknown and undeserved. It’s about time he’s brought back.

It’s unknown if this is a mini-series or long term, or if he’ll be back for good. What we do know so far is that Wolverine puts together a team to bring back Nightcrawler from the dead. Why? Don’t know, don’t care. I really don’t care if they say ‘and now he’s back. Why? Because Nightcrawler’. A very solid team. Between this and Sandman Overture, it looks to be a very interesting fall.
