Rocket League’s “Back to the Future” Car Pack Set to Land in Two Weeks

In honor of the 30th anniversary of Back to the Future, Rocket League is celebrating by bringing a new car to the playing field.

I’m sure thousands of fans of the Back to the Future series has dreamed of driving the famous DeLorean Time Machine and now they will get the chance to — virtually, at least. On the anniversary of when Marty McFly travels in time in Back to the Future II, October 21st, 2015, Rocket League will release their Back to the Future Car Pack.

In a blog post on the PlayStation website, the Vice President of Marketing at Psyonix, Jeremey Dunham, revealed that this has been a dream of theirs to include the Back to the Future DeLorean in their destructive, soccer game. “We were all such huge Back to the Future fans here at Psyonix, that it was one of the few ‘Holy Grails’ we had hoped for besides having a hit game. The fact that we’re getting both of those ‘best-case scenarios’ in the same year is an amazing accomplishment for us, they’re things we’ll never forget!”

The team over at Psyonix worked tirelessly to recreate the famous time machine’s look, just as it had appeared in Back to the Future.

The DeLorean that will appear in Rocket League will look exactly as it did in Back to the Future with the same silver gray coat of paint and folding jet wheels. And this DeLorean has its own signature “Burnt Rubber” Rocket Trail as the player drives across the grassy fields.

To hold you loyal players over until you can live out your Back to the Future fantasies, you can also check out the PlayStation store for other DLC packs that Rocket League has and will be releasing before the DeLorean has made its debut.

As mentioned before, the Rocket LeagueBack to the Future” Car Pack shall be released on October 21st and can be purchased for $1.99 (USD).
