Press Start! This is What We Played for Week 21

Welcome fanatics to Press Start! This is a weekly editorial that dives into what we here at The Game Fanatics have been playing. No spoilers on the newer games that we’re playing but we will give you a quick insight on how good or bad it is. Games will range from retro to new, casual to FPS, we play it all!

Joel:

I have been playing a lot of Game Dev Tycoon and Sleeping Dogs which are both amazing! Jumped into Dust 514 for a night and I like some of what it brings to PSN but without friends I didn’t have much incentive to play.

William:

Just finished The Walking Dead game….Right in my feels.

Jen:

Went on another Bejeweled run, mainly for achievements. Okay, maybe not mainly, getting achievements was my only reason to launch Bejeweled Blitz and Bejeweled 3 for XBLA. I played a certain flashpoint, Imperial side, in SWTOR. OMG feels and great surprises! Glad I ran that flashpoint, even though I got zero experience for it. I did it for the story, which ties into Knights of the Old Republic I and II.

Ben:

Beat Super Mario World for the first time and I can now officially say that that game is held up by pure nostalgia. That is to say, it’s overrated and most other Mario games are more fun. But I’ve always been more of a Sonic guy anyway. I’ve also been going through Super Metroid for the something-ith time. It’s still one of my favorite games of all time and it also lives up to the nostalgic praise. Yes, I have been playing two SNES games this past week. Suck it next gen!

Jeff:

My systems haven’t been getting much attention lately, but I showed them a little attention with LEGO Star Wars 3 and Call of Duty Black Ops 2.
