What We Played for Week Ending February 26

This is a weekly segment where we share what games we are currently playing for our readers to get to know us a bit better. Said games can range from retro to current and from casual to FPS games. If we’re playing it, we’ll share it. Please feel free to comment with what you’re playing or your opinions on the games that we’re involved with.

William: Finished Mass Effect 2. Played more League of Legends. Now that ME is out of the way, I’m going to get back in to Beyond Good and Evil. I’m also looking in to starting Legend of Dragoon, but Beyond Good and Evil -should- be enough to fill my console time. Also considering getting Gotham City Impostors. Played it at E3 and it was a blast. Apparently it’s out now. Should be fuuuuun.

Greg: I started Mass Effect 2 again on Thursday. Meant only to check my saves and I started a new character. Should be able to beat it by next Tuesday, just did the collector ship mission.

Jen: Played a little bit of Catherine, Bejeweled 3 and SWTOR. The majority of my free time has been with Halo: Combat Evolved. I bought the game last year but I haven’t had a chance to beat it until now. I want to try to finish it before Mass Effect 3 comes out.

John: I’ve been replaying Mass Effect 2 and lovin it. Apart from that taking over all of my free time, I’ve been playing some Mass Effect 2, a little bit of Mass Effect 2, and when I can find the time, I stripmine planets in Mass Effect 2.

Almost everyone and their mom is playing ME2 in preparation for ME3. Are you ready?

Chris: All of the NBA All-Star festivities had me take a few sessions of NBA 2K12. One item of note, the Bobcats are currently as bad in that game as their current record shows (Byombo is not Mutombo…yet). Also, took a few rounds of King of Fighters XIII, that game is the modern standard of fighting games in my opinion, and I still have yet to get tired of it. On the go for my 3DS I’ve been playing Tekken 3D: Prime Edition, a perfect tool for re-familiarizing myself with the Tekken characters, since Street Fighter X Tekken is just around the corner. Really liking Steve & Asuka so far and may try to incorporate them into some of my choices of upcoming tag-teams for the new fighter.

Luis: I beat Dead Island back sometime around it’s launch when it still had the bugs/glitches. Like the game not saving, the online connectivity problems, and the multiply weapons glitch. I recently started playing it and I’m having a better time now that the bugs were fixed. The game is a blast. Online I’ve currently been devoting my time to Battlefield 3. I’m trying to get a platinum trophy for it (one left!) all I need to do is reach level 45 online now. I’ve also gone back to playing Call of Duty: Black Ops. I never bought Modern Warfare 3 because I had a feeling my friends wouldn’t be playing it for long (I was right) we’ve all been playing Black Ops now.

Ben: This last week has been dominated by the demo for the new SSX, which looks to be fantastic and exactly what I want it to be. Other than that, I finished up all the post game content in Ni No Kuni and have continued playing Dues Ex: HR. And unlike everyone else, I won’t be playing through Mass Effect 2 before 3. I did read through an extensive plot summary to get ready though.
