What We Played | July 2 – 8

This is a weekly segment where we share what games we are currently playing for our readers to get to know us a bit better. Said games can range from retro to current and from casual to FPS games. If we’re playing it, we’ll share it. Please feel free to comment with what you’re playing or your opinions on the games that we’re involved with.

Seth: I’ve been playing EVE Online almost exclusively this week. It’s been a ton of fun roaming around space with two of my friends, killing any enemies we come across. The fights have been really nerve wracking and fun!

Greg: Finished Mass Effect 2. Started 3. Vanguards FTW.

Jen: Got to do the Jedi Prisoner double flash point on Saturday night on SWTOR, which makes it only my second go at it. It’s my favorite flashpoint of the game. For July 4th, after working, I went to play some Boom Boom Rocket on XBLA. The game is fun but could have been much more. Would love to see a sequel to it. Played some Lumines Live late last night via XBLA. I like the game better on PsP.

Jeff: Finally found a fairly inexpensive copy of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, and I’m ready to finish the trilogy. I’ve always been a fan of pointer controls, and this game is one of the best in that regard. I’m also playing Extermination, a PS2 survival-horror game, just for the terrible voice over work. Finally, I’m really digging Johnny Kung Fu, but you’ll hear more about that very soon in our review.

Ben: All Dragon’s Dogma, all the time. It’s a flawed game but I’m loving it so far.

Chris: Been kicking people in the face in one way or another, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike, Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, Capcom vs SNK 1 (Ps1) are all titles that I’ve mashed in the last week.
