PAX Prime | Legend of Dungeon and AudioSurf 2 are two Games to Look out for

Two indie games caught my eye as I walked around the Indie Mega Booth during PAX Prime, Legend of Dungeon and Audiosurf 2.

Legend of Dungeon is a simple 8bit game from RobotLovesKitty. This game screams classic style gaming. Legend of Dungeon is a local four player co-op adventure, dungeon crawler game. This game is about dying and having fun doing so. The main reason that makes Legend of Dungeon so unique is that it is random. Random encounters, random ways to die, random music taken from 244 tracks and random dungeons. You are never playing the same game twice. Legend of Dungeon gives you a new experience each time you play. Even the loot is randomize. You never what type of item or weapon you will get. Once you die, you turn into a ghost. Once you collect enough spirit orbs, you free to return to the living.

Audiosurf is back with a second installment. We got our hands on Audiosurf 2 at PAX Prime. Dylan Fitterer gave Audiosurf 2 an updated feel without loosing the fundamentals of what Audiosurf is. You still use your own music to surf the waves. Yes, waves. You now controller a surfer. The color blocks work as multipliers and the black represent the buoys which you need to avoid. During peek moments of a song you need to move to the side and jump, performing air tricks are you rank of a high score. Audiosurf 2 is coming to Steam and early access might happen as soon as September.

Legend of Dungeon is currently available on Steam while Audiosurf 2 will be as well, hopefully within the upcoming months.
