Nintendo Announces Nov. Release for Mario Party 3DS, Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

We now know just about how long we’ll have to wait to play the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, thanks to the latest Nintendo Direct video. In the presentation below, Nintendo head honcho Satoru Iwata reveals that both Mario Party 3DS and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, which has been confirmed to take place after the events of A Link to the Past, will hit the Nintendo 3DS in November.

Mario Party 3DS will be the latest in a long line of titles featuring Mario and his pals playing a giant board game, competing in frantic minigames to earn stars — the player with the most stars at the end wins, so, pretty standard stuff. It’ll be the 13th entry in the Mario Party series, and the first to hit the 3DS.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is, as mentioned earlier, a sequel (of sorts) to the Super Nintendo classic A Link to the Past, with an extra twist or two: Link can now transform into a wall drawing to navigate around traps and solve puzzles, and the game has been designed to take full advantage of the Nintendo 3DS‘ 3-D capabilities.

Check out the video below for all of today’s Nintendo Direct announcements.
