The Next Fallout May Have Been Teased

Fallout

Designer Chris Avellone has quite the record within the video games industry. He has been involved in the development of big hitters, such as Icewind Dale, KOTOR 2, Neverwinter Nights 2, Prey, and Divinity: Original Sin 2, to cite but a few. On top of those, he also had a flick with Fallout 2 and Fallout: New Vegas. And maybe that’s why one of his latest posts on Facebook has the community rather excited. About new adventures in the wasteland, that is.

As you may know, 2017 has marked the 20th anniversary of the arrival of the original Fallout. By the end of September, mister Avellone posted a pic of three Vault Boys: one swearing an oath under the “RPG Bible”, another in love with his brains and the last one, very focused while reading a “plot” book. Until then everything was simple celebration and nostalgic throw-backs.

But all sirens start ringing a few days ago when he changed his profile pic into something a tad more unusual: a hand-made drawing of himself hugging that very Vault Boy with the message “I missed you so much”. You may imagine the scale of the community’s response and the seed of hope he has instilled already. Are we witnessing the first teaser ever on a new Fallout game?

All in all, you may consider it just an image and nothing too concrete. But hey, we’d like to believe the saga is continuing sooner or later and the idea of having this man involved is all the sweeter. So far, Avellone has not come around to verify or squash this idea – but we’ll be on the lookout for that.

Have you played the last Fallout game, Fanatics? Which is your favorite title from this post-apocalyptic franchise and why? Are you looking forward to roaming around in a new wasteland? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below!
