Mysterious Challenger Appears in Dragon Ball: Xenoverse

Dragon Ball fans who have been following Namco Bandai Games‘ development with the franchise are in for a real treat today, as the company has just released a few screens of a new, cool and mysterious fighter. This fighter has never before seen in previous game adaptations or in any part of the original anime series and is set to appear in the upcoming Dragon Ball: Xenoverse.

The unnamed combatant has been reported to have traveled from the future and into plenty of familiar Dragon Ball timelines. The fighter has red hair,  sports a scouter on his left eye and seems to be wearing some of Trunk’s clothing. Trunks, who also has a record of time-travel activities, can also be seen in a few screenshots with the mystery character and further giving off the impression that these two are either related or are close time traveling buddies.

Namco Bandai says that in Dragon Ball: Xenoverse, players will be able to channel themselves into the role of the red-haired fighter and play through plenty of Dragon Ball  special and critical scenes that occur throughout the monumental and highly popular series.

As players progress through Dragon Ball: Xenoverse, back story about this mysterious character is revealed. Players will not only be able to take a trip back through memory lane, but they will also be building new ones while doing so. Uncovering mysteries, fighting off deathly wicked villains and reuniting with fan favorites will be the primary discoveries that will occur during this nostalgic journey.

“Gamers will be presented with an unpredictable Dragon Ball experience; perhaps rewriting DRAGON BALL history as we know it,” Namco Bandai said in a statement.
