More Sleeping Dogs DLC on the way

Square Enix has announced that DLC support for Sleeping Dogs will continue into 2013 with the Year of the Snake DLC, and four additional item packs.

Year of the Snake takes place after the main story has been completed and features a cult that believes the end of the world is near. They start committing heinous crimes in the name of purifying the city for the Apocalypse. It’s up to Wei Shen to stop this grisly bunch. Year of the Snake will also feature new items, outfits and abilities. Additionally, there will be four item packs. The Movie Masters Pack features three kung fu outfits with unique abilities. The Wheels of Fury Pack gives you just that, more cars and firepower to blow up cars. Look for more races and car upgrades to build your ultimate racer. The Law Enforcer Pack give access to more police gear, and the Monkey King Pack lets Wei take on the form of the mythical Sun Wukong (the monkey king). New outfit, staff and abilities.

I recently played and loved Sleeping Dogs. I thought it was an extremely well done game. The story was well written, the voice acting (especially Wei Shen) was great. Combat was fun and there was plenty to do. I’m glad to see that there will be reason for me to return to Hong Kong. I’m really looking forward it. Look for Year of the Snake and the item packs later this year.
