In their pursuit of making the Xbox the ultimate entertainment hub, Microsoft announced that starting in June, Xbox Entertainment Studios will be releasing Xbox Originals. Originals will feature various genres of film and will broadcast some live events. Each of the new shows or events will give viewers the opportunity to interact with features designed for individual programs. Microsoft says that it will be a one of a kind experience found nowhere else. Originals will be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and other Microsoft devices.
Xbox says that gaming has been in their DNA for the past fifteen years and feel that original television content is going to be the next step in their evolution of turning into an all in one entertainment juggernaut. Their objective is to bring more value to their customers, especially those who do more than gaming with Xbox consoles.
There are six projects that are definitely coming out, including: a Halo television series, “Every Street United“, “Signal to Noise“/”Atari: Game Over“, “Humans“, a Halo digital feature, and Bonnaroo, which is a live concert from June 13-15. There are also several other projects still in the works.
