The Phantom Pain Infiltrates 30 Minutes of Gameplay

Premiering on the Kojima Station early this morning, we finally had a solid uninterrupted length of time to watch Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in action.

Another first coming out with Hideo Kojima’s newest demonstration is an English commentary over the game-play. Some of the most notable features showcased in the video are dynamic weather systems, horseback riding and the Fulton Recovery System from Peace Walker making a return to the franchise.

The game-play is taken from the E3 2014 demo that was available behind closed doors for Press. While we enjoyed the last spoiler-free video teaser, this one references events of Ground Zeroes, so follow Big Boss’ example and proceed with caution.

How do you think Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is shaping up? It’s certainly looking like a graphical powerhouse and there is no shortage of innovation to the franchise being displayed in everything we’ve seen so far.

Keep a look out for our upcoming feature on the back-story of Big Boss. We will be covering everything players will need to know before diving into The Phantom Pain in 2015, including notable characters and events responsible for the motivations that will drive him in the next installment.
