Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Updated with Trailer and Demo Release Date

Yesterday, January 14, 2013, Konami Digital Entertainment and Platinum Games released a new gameplay trailer for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeancehighlighting some of intense combat players will find with this title. This trailer is titled “Jack the Ripper,” aptly named for good reason. Raiden effortlessly slices and dices his way through several enemies in this video, exciting fans of the acrobatic, stylized action gaming has come to embrace.

Konami has also announced that Revengeance will have a demo released, available on the Playstation Network and Xbox Live on January 22, 2013. The demo will include a virtual reality tutorial, an update of the VR missions introduced to the universe earlier in the series. Players will navigate through the city streets of the game, either stalking or in bold-faced battle. This demo was also released with the Zone of the Enders HD Collection, but will be available for free on PSN and Live.

While definitely more action-focused than previous incarnations of the series, Metal Gear Rising looks to maintain the previously favored theme of stealth, allowing players to choose how to proceed in a given situation, which surely will keep fans of the older series interested in this new release. Set to come out worldwide in February of this year, you can check out the new 7-minute trailer below.
