Medal of Honor: Warfighter Military Edition and Project HONOR Support the Military this October

EA Games, publishers of the Medal of Honor series, have started Project HONOR, created specifically for helping the families of those killed working in Special Operations. This begins with the Medal of Honor: Warfighter Military Edition, which is to be released solely for the military.

This copy of the game will feature weapons from weapon and supply companies, such as London Bridge Trading and Mechanix Wear, as well as many others, to provide a truly authentic military gaming experience. Also, many of these providers have signed on to donate money in the name of Project HONOR, as well as sell Medal of Honor merchandise, again donating the proceeds, these going to the Navy SEAL Foundation and the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. London Bridge Trading has even designed a product line featuring the camouflage pattern of Project HONOR.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter provides an intense, realistic military experience.

Danger Close Games’ Medal of Honor: Warfighter Military Edition will be released through GovX.com, the number one provider of goods used only by military, law enforcement, and government employees who work in related fields. This version will be available to active, former, and reserve US military, and will provide the special edition of the game, as well as Military Edition-only perks, such as the aforementioned Project HONOR camouflage.

The executive producer of Medal of Honor, Greg Goodrich, says, “We have a tremendous amount of respect for our service men and women around the world and a deep level of gratitude for the sacrifices both they and their families make on a daily basis,” of the work with Project HONOR. John T. Carney, Jr., president of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation also speaks of the Project, saying, “This partnership with EA and Medal of Honor will raise awareness on the work we do to help the families of fallen Special Operations warriors and facilitate contributions that help provide college scholarships for surviving children and financial assistance to families of severely wounded special operations warriors.”

The game will feature real-life weapons and gear from top world manufacturers.

The Executive Director at the Navy SEAL Foundation speaks highly of the partnership as well, stating, “Our mission is to provide immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and their families.”

Medal of Honor: Warfighter was written by US Tier 1 Operations, and uses the new Frostbite 2 engine to deliver a true-to-life combat experience, taking players the world around in single player mode, and collects Tier 1 Operations from 10 different countries for an exciting multiplayer experience. The game is slated for October 26 as a release date in the UK, spanning Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.
