Max Payne 3 Painful Memories DLC Debuts December 4

Rockstar has announced its next DLC pack for Max Payne 3, Painful Memories, available December 4 on PSN and Xbox Live.

Painful Memories is a multiplayer pack that adds four new maps inspired by different points in Max’s history of violence. A breakdown of the Painful Memories maps is below:

  • Roscoe Street Subway: designed after the original Max Payne shootout
  • Marty’s Bar: a map modeled after Max’s “dingy watering hole”
  • Shoot First: featuring the Branco family yacht
  • Canal de Panamá: a Gang Wars map
In Marty’s Bar, there’s never a bad time to rush during a 4 on 2.

Players will also be treated to new weapons including the IMG 5.56 and UAR-21 assault rifles, new avatars, and the Hangover Burst mode, in which enemies respawn with blurred vision and reduced stamina & health.

Painful Memories is available for $9.99 or 800 Microsoft Points; players registered for Rockstar Pass will not be charged for the DLC.

Rockstar has consistently delivered DLC for series fans — the most recent offerings were last month’s Hostage Negotiation and late August’s Disorganized Crime.
