Marvel Heroes Omega Closed Beta Available On PS4

Marvel Heroes Omega

Developer Gazillion has launched a near month long beta for Marvel Heroes Omega; an action-RPG MMO featuring a host of characters from the Marvel universe. The beta is currently available for PlayStation 4 and will run through May 15. Marvel Heroes Omega is a free-to-play title promising great replay value through thousands of hours of gameplay.

The developer also confirmed the option of couch drop-in/drop-out for up to two players. You and a friend can enjoy beating up a bevy of Marvel villains from the comfort of your couch.

While the game is free-to-play, those who wish to have a step up on the enemies can purchase a handful of Founder’s Packs currently on sale. Players can purchase the add-ons through the store via the PS4 or convenient mobile app.

Gazillion also announced a free character that will be available to all players, whether they took part in the beta or not. The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen himself, Daredevil, will be available as a free character.

David Von Dorman, CEO at Gazillion, said the studio is excited to finally bring the game to consoles:

“There’s never been a better time to be a Marvel fan. With so many exciting films, television shows, and comics coming soon, we’re beyond excited to be able to bring the characters, costumes, and adventures of the Marvel Universe to life in living rooms around the world. Marvel Heroes Omega has been a true passion project and labor of love for everyone here at Gazillion – and we can’t wait for players to experience it for the first time themselves on consoles.”

There’s also a beta planned for the Xbox One for which the date is expected to be announced soon.

Marvel Heroes Omega is currently set to release sometime this spring for PS4 and Xbox One.
