Macken Movie Update – Dark Knight Rises: First look at Bane

World…Say ‘hello’ to Bane

Hardly one week into shooting has began for Christopher Nolan’s final Bat-tastic adventure, and the ol’ guy just cant help himself. Why we all sit refreshing our favourite Batman rumour movie blogs, Nolan goes and throws a curve ball. Giving us the first look at one of the most intimidating and dangerous villains of all time.

Bane(Tom Hardy) was featured in the prior bat-flick, Batman & Robin. But with the guy in charge of the Neon in that film clearly high of his supply, the character wasn’t really 3D. In fact all he did was glow in the dark, mumble/grunt and stand next to Poison Ivy(Uma Thurman). Lets face it, just the fact that Nolan’s bane isn’t standing next to Mrs.Thurman is already a step up.

Although this shot of Bane is a simple one, its effective. Its noticeable as Bane, and its not cheesy or over the top. Its the authentic realistic Batman feel that Nolan gives us every time. Sometimes you just gotta thank the stars that there’s guys out there like the magnificent Christopher Nolan.
