Lockout, a Sci-Fi Thriller We're Really Excited for, and Here's Why

Film District sent us the official trailer for their upcoming movie, Lockout, a fast-action sci-fi movie from the producers of Taken. As we played the trailer, jaws dropped and heads rolled as we realized that if Visceral Games’, Dead Space, copulated with Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham City, this would essentially be their high-adrenaline baby.

The movie stars Guy Pearce (previously in the Hurt Locker) and Maggie Grace (previously in Taken and ABC’s Lost). Pearce plays a falsely convicted ex-federal agent who can only redeem himself by rescuing the President’s daughter (played by Grace) from a maximum-security prison floating above the Earth’s atmosphere. The prisoners have taken control of the outer-space prison and the challenge of taking on the rioting convicts lays ahead of our protagonist.

That sounds familiar right?

Enough jabber, here’s the full trailer:

Lockout is out in theaters on April 20th.
