Limbo And Inside Coming To Retail

Inside Game

Developer Playdead has announced a new partnership with publisher 505 Games to bring their two Award-Winning titles to physical release: Limbo and Inside. The Inside/Limbo double pack will be available on September 12 for PS4 and Xbox One. The bundle will include both games (obviously) along with a limited run poster and art card.

If you haven’t heard about Playdead’s award winning platformers, here’s a quick summary of each title.

Limbo

Developer Playdead first released Limbo in 2010. It’s an eerie black and white platformer which has often been compared to the film noir genre and considered as a prime example which advocates games as art. It tells the story of a young boy who awakens in the middle of a forest which is on the “edge of hell”. The nameless protagonist must search through the eerie forest in order to find his missing sister. Playdead’s first project earned a handful of awards such as Best Platformer from IGN, Best Puzzle Game from Gamespot and widespread acclaim.

Inside

After years on hiatus Playdead released Inside in 2016. Originally exclusive to the Xbox One but eventually moved to the PS4, Inside upgraded to a 2.5D monochromatic platformer/puzzle game where players, as a nameless boy, encounter an army of guards as he runs through a forest and discovers the mysteries of this almost horror-esque world. The developer’s second project also garnered various awards such as Best Game Design, Artistic Achievement, and Best Narrative (British Academy Game Awards); just to name a few.

If you’re on the fence about Playdeads highly acclaimed sidescrollers we’ve got 5 reasons you should be playing Inside.

Nabbing Playdead’s first two award winning title for $29,99 is a no brainer. You can’t say no to a good deal like this one! What do you think about Limbo and Inside?
