Join SG1 Through the Stargate in a Brand New Game

The SG-1 crew is back in an interactive adventure game created for mobile gaming!

A few months ago I saw a tweet from Amanda Tapping (Sam Carter) stating that she’s happy to be playing as Sam once again. I thought it was some sort of commentary for a new bluray. Turns out, its for a video game. Or rather a tablet, iOS game.

Since the ending of Stargate SG-1 back in 2007, there have always been talks about creating a video game, be it an action adventure game or an MMO.

With tweets from Amanda Tapping and Michael Shanks, it is safe to say that we’ll have the original team back together again, doing what they do best: hitting golf balls into different areas in space. There have been new members of SG-1 throughout the years, however Unleashed will focus on the original team, with Sam, Jack, Teal’C and Daniel Jackson. With the passing of Don S. Davis, who played Hammond, his character will be voiced by Richard Epcar.

Dubbed Stargate SG-1: Unleashed, this iOS game is set to be released sometime in March from MGM and Arkalis Interactive. This same company brought SG1 fans Teal’c’s Revenge, which launched last December. It seems that Stargate SG-1 Unleashed might be receiving more hype than Teal’c’s standalone game. There have been more SG-1 games in the past, including a trading card game, pinball game and those games that never saw the light of day, like Stargate SG-1: The Alliance and the MMO, Stargate Worlds.

As stated before, Stargate SG-1 Unleashed will be out in March and is the first episode in hopefully many adventures with the SG-1 team.
