In Case You Missed It – Gaming News for the Week of May 22 – 28, 2017

Another week, another batch of news stories from the world of games! Here’s another edition of In Case You Missed It!

In Case You Missed The Witcher 3‘s Soundtrack…

You can listen to your “Banana Tigers” on vinyl now! Well… Soon, anyway. If you head over to ThinkGeek on June 2, you can pick up the official The Witcher 3 soundtrack. Audiophiles have even more reason to rejoice since the two-LP package also comes with four tracks that haven’t been available in any of the digital versions.

Yes, I know it’s not “Banana Tiger.” But now you hear it, too!

In Case You Want More Witcher News…

Those of you who have been planning on getting into Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, now is your chance! The game went into open beta last weekend with a ton of changes, a lot of which helps out us free-to-play gamers. If you’ve already tried the game out in closed beta, you get a nice handful of bonuses to get restarted. I’ve played a bit of it, and it is pretty good so far!

In Case Friday The 13th Wasn’t Scary Enough…

Xbox One players had quite a fright when they found out that their version of the Kickstarter-backed Friday the 13th: The Game is severely behind its PS4 and PC counterparts. The Xbox version runs on an earlier build of the game, which means it is full of crashes and bugs that were stamped out for the other systems. Combine that to the massive influx of players causing server issues, and you’ve got yourself one nightmare of a launch.

In Case You Thought Microwaves Were Just for Cooking…

Turns out you can play video games on it, too! Colin Furze, a popular YouTuber, showed off the “Play-o-Wave” last week. It’s a microwave! It’s a console! It’s both! While it isn’t exactly the nicest looking console, I just love how creative people can be when it comes to finding new ways to play games.

In Case You Were Feeling Nostalgic…

Let’s break you out of that habit, shall we? We often assume things from our childhood were the best, but JWittz is here to remind us that no, Pokemon Master Trainer was not as fun as we remembered it. He finished up his three-part series covering all three releases in the Master Trainer lineup last week, and I highly recommend giving them all a view.

That’s all for this week! If we didn’t cover it here, check out our other articles, and if we still didn’t talk about that one thing, let us know about it in the comments!
