In Case You Missed It – Gaming News for the Week of April 17 – 23, 2017

We got another slow news week on our hands. Luckily, that means that there are only a few things to catch up on! Here comes another In Case You Missed It!

In Case You Missed JRPG Hype…

You aren’t the only one, as both Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy VII‘s remake are both missing their hype trains. According to a poll over in Japan, more people are ready and waiting for Trails of Cold Steel III than they are of either Square Enix title. The best guess is that we still don’t know when those games are coming out, though it would be interesting to know what the rest of the world thinks…

In Case You Wanted More Two Worlds 2

You’re getting it. Reality Pump Studios is bringing two new story DLCs to Two Worlds 2, along with a bevy of other improvements. The first of these—Call of the Tenebraewill be released on May 25, and it will also bring an engine update, some in-game achievements, and new features. Oh, and Two Worlds 3 is in development.

AAAAAH! After six years, I’m free! It’s time to conquer Earth!

In Case You Missed G2A’s Fallout…

For the past couple of weeks, we’ve seen G2A rise in notoriety. Gearbox attempted to partner with them but bailed when they caught wind of G2A’s less-than-credible way of running their business. Speaking at GDC, one of G2A’s sales specialists was heckled repeatedly by indie devs and others, which led to this gem of a conversation.

In Case You Missed Red Dead Redemption But Didn’t Want to Stop Playing GTA V

Sorry, but that ship has canceled. Some intrepid modders posted a video on Friday showcasing a map conversion mod for Grand Theft Auto V  dubbed “Red Dead Redemption V.” As is the case with many fan projects, this one has been shut down. The reason is pretty clear since Red Dead Redemption 2 is on its way. It’s just a shame that it happened so quickly.

That’s all for this week’s In Case You Missed It. If you want more, check out our coverage from the week and stay fanatical!
