GX Gaming is at QuakeCon 2014

If you’re in the Dallas area this weekend, you’re probably not reading The Game Fanatics because you’re too busy—hopefully because you’re at QuakeCon 2014, maybe because you’re doing whatever kept you from being able to attend QuakeCon 2014. (If it’s neither of those things, once you finish reading this article, GO. It’s FREE.)

One of the things that makes any gaming convention worthwhile is the exhibitors. I’m particularly drawn to the hardware companies because it’s a great opportunity to get a feel for hardware you might not be able to try before you buy otherwise, and GX Gaming is there for exactly that reason—showing off their wares, and getting people to try them. So if you have time to pull yourself away from the tournaments, panels, or open gaming sessions, you may as well check them out—if nothing else, you can enter to win free swag, and if you find yourself really disappointed you didn’t win, that might be a sign you should buy it.

And I can vouch that, while keyboards like GX Gaming‘s Manticore are a pain in the butt to schlep home from a gaming convention, you can ship them to yourself USPS in the box they come in for less than it would’ve cost to buy it outside the convention. (Their Gila mouse, on the other hand, should probably fit in your carry-on, if you’re an out-of-towner.)
