Google Dives Into The Gaming World With Ingress

Google is one step closer to taking over the world with it’s recent game announcement Ingress on the Android platform. Google has been consistently trying to reinvent the world we live in and the way we interact with it, and today they’re taking it one step further by creating video games to achieve their vision.

Ingress is an augmented reality game developed by John Hanke who was inspired by J.J Abram’s “Lost”. Ingress is a game that augments the landscape with portals, each one revealing tidbits about the world and what happened to the company that discovered these portals.

The game is now in closed beta and no release date has been announced, but John Hanke has gone on the record to say that when the game is finished it will be free to play.
