God Particle (aka Cloverfield 3) Has Been Delayed to 2018

God Particle

After the amazing Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane, there’s no doubt that the folks at Paramount Pictures are betting strong for this cinematographic universe. Following them as main producer is J.J. Abrams, who brought screenwriter Oren Uziel’s God Particle creation into the fold. Mr. Abrams remains clear in his intentions to see that world expanding with more high-paced, intense titles.

God Particle, known unofficially as Cloverfield 3, will not be releasing any time soon though. Paramount has confirmed recently that the film will arrive on February 2018, just on time for the Superbowl’s crazy weekend.

God Particle in a Nutshell

This is not the first time the movie suffers from a delay. Originally slated for a February release this year, God Particle was then moved to October 27. There’re no formal explanations for the second adjournment of this film, which has been in the works since 2012.

The story follows the terrifying voyage of a group of astronauts, caught in space and far away from home. One single discovery will challenge everything they believe about the fabric of reality. Following its movie sisters, God Particle will have its own share of survival beats and, probably, some decent jump-scares and “what on Earth” moments.

Julius Onah is takes on the directorial role with an acting lineup that includes David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha Raw, Ziyi Xhang, Elizabeth Debicki, Daniel Bruhl and Chris O’Dowd.
