God of War Ascension Artwork and Demo details revealed.

God of War Ascension news has been pouring in as of late. The highly anticipated title has been on the minds of PS3 and envious Xbox gamers minds since its introduction a short while ago.

New artwork for the game shows just how grotesque the game continues to be; Santa Monica Studios consistently outperforms themselves in this department. Well let’s look at the artwork, shall we?

I call this: Kratos Looking At a Woman-thingy with Spider Legs.

Now, to be honest, I don’t know what the hell is going on in this image. There appears to be a floating vehicle of some sort. Maybe a giant fleshy creature with mechanical body parts? As I said, this image is just…God of War.

Them here, we have something that looks like an arm, with a structure built on top. This image could shed more light on the image above. It’s all very odd, though.

This next image is clearly part of a face with platforms integrated into flesh. Ow.

This next image is just beautiful. It features a giant sea creature, wielding a trident, and surrounded by ocean. Sunlight bleeds through the clouds, onto the back of the sea creature, making it appear to be in a position of power. Definitely a good choice for a wallpaper, in my opinion.

In other GOWA news, it’s been revealed by Santa Monica Studios that the demo of God of War Ascension will be the first 30 minutes of the game. I think this is pretty cool. On one hand, if you play the demo to death, you might be bored with the first 30 minutes of the game by the time it launches. However, in the case that the demo took place at another part of the game, we might know part of what happens later on for the sake of a teaser. Needless to say, I like the fact that the demo takes place at the beginning of the game.

God of War Ascension comes out on March 12, 2013.
