The Flashlight App Reaches 1 Million Sold

Well, I’m sure not too many people saw this coming but i4software’s Flashlight app for iPhone has been bought 1 million times. The 99 cent app is also the number one iOS utility in the store.

Now why would this be useful? Most of the praise comes from police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and others who say that having the app has saved lives. The app uses the LED camera flash as well as the screen to create a light that is brighter than most flashlights.

This app may sound kind of silly but if it’s brighter than a regular flashlight and I now don’t have to buy batteries for my stupid flashlight, then it seems like a worthwhile investment. As an added bonus, I’m sure you could use the app to annoy your friends and coworkers.
