E3 2014 | Platinum Games' Scalebound Announced

During Microsoft’s E3 2014 press conference, Platinum Games‘ game director, Hideki Kamiya announced that their title, Scalebound, will made exclusive to Xbox One.

The trailer for Scalebound showed a human running from a creature until cornered. At that point, the man, who is accompanied by a huge dragon, team up to fight.  The dragon took out a smaller creature then together the two took out another mammoth beast with some sort of super power. Kamiya claims that Scalebound will offer “action at a whole new scale”.

Platinum Games never gave a target for a release date, but the trailer was revealed during the beyond 2014 portion of the E3 conference. So the obvious safe bet would be sometime later next year.

Some of Platinum Games notable projects would include The Wonderful 101 for the Wii and Bayonetta 2 which is currently in development. They also developed Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance which released in February of 2013 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
