E3 2011: SteelSeries and Blizzard Entertainment Team Up for Diablo III Headset, Mouse, and Mousepads.

 

What better way to kick off E3 than the introduction of an all new set of Diablo III peripherals. SteelSeries, the leading manufacturer of professional gaming peripherals’ announced today that in partnership with Blizzard Entertainment to introduce the SteelSeries Diablo III family of products. The Diablo III Mouse, Headset, and Two QcK mousepads – Witch Doctor and Barbarian editions were co-designed with technology, hardware and illuminations that will support the look and feel  of the third installment of Blizzard Entertainment‘s next mouse-intensive Diablo series.

The massive level of excitement is massive for Diablo III’s release.  The face-paced, dark fantasy world of Diablo III features a high-velocity gameplay that will benefit from quick response time and a mouse that will withstand the punishment of rapid clicking. The SteelSeries Diablo III Mouse is equipped with a laser sensor with upto 5,000 CPI, 7 ergonomically positioned buttons that are able to withstand the constant punishment dealt out, and is guaranteed to withstand 10 million clicks. Not to mention the soft comfortable matte grip coating and ambidextrous shape make it a versatile option for all gaming styles. And in true Diablo III style, the SteelSeries mouse is enhanced with a “demon red” illumination in 3 areas of the mouse- the scroll wheel, CPI indicator, and the Diablo III logo. The logo is also customizable with ON/OFF illumination and 3 levels of pulsation.  This SteelSeries Diablo III mouse MSRP will be $69.99.

The Diablo III is designed to pick up either the faint clinks of epic loot dropping, or the booming bass of demon spawns meeting their ends. The SteelSeries Diablo III Headset is designed with a lightweight, over-the-head suspension design, that provides the wearer with closed-type, leather earcups to keep the outside world out, and immerse the player even further into the Burning Hells. The headset matches with the mouse with its matte black finish, with a knot-work design on the headband, and the “demon red” illumination. This is first illuminated headset designed by SteelSeries, which features an ON/OFF illumination, the red glow being seen from two places on each on the right and left side, with a total of 18 LED lights. This headset also includes the SteelSeries signature unidirectional retractable microphone-system for clear voice communications through Battle.net. This headset MSRP is $119.99.

Every gaming mouse needs an epic mousepad to go along with it. The SteelSeries Diablo III mousepads have a non-slip rubber base to keep them in place. The SteelSeries award-winning QcK mousepads come in two different designs, the SteelSeries Diablo III QcK Barbarian Edition, and the Diablo III QcK Witch Doctor edition, each offering either an officially licensed artwork of the barbarian class, decked out in deep red and earthy tones associated with the brutal fighter, or the cooler green and purple tones, linked to this new and powerful summoning class. Each mousepad will have a MSRP of $14.99.
