Devolver Digital Will Host its Own Conference | E3 2017

Devolver Digital

Devolver Digital has chosen Twitter to announce that they will be present at E3 this year with their own conference. And no, this won’t happen in a parking lot outside of the convention area, as it used to. While no time and date have surfaced so far, the announcement has caught our attention already. On top of that, the publishing studio has sent a press release where they call all game enthusiast out there to a very special picnic. It features lots of food and beverage trucks, groovy music and, of course, indie games.

Devolver Digital is well-known for their wild sense of humor (when it comes to their official communications) but also for their inclination towards the indie genre. They are the publishers of titles such as Hot Miami 1 and 2, The Talos Principle, Strafe and Broforce, to name but a few. A list that also includes that socially engaging game known as Genital Justing… Among their future projects we can find Ruiner, Eitr, Minit and Sometimes Always Monsters.

Devolver Digital’s Picnic Across the Street

What would E3 2017 be without your fair share of picnicking? Devolver Digital has already quite a tradition going there – and they are planning to consolidate it. That’s why they have also announced they are hosting an indie picnic event, free to all E3 attendees. If you are visiting the convention, simply head to the front parking located directly across the street from the Los Angeles Convention Center’s South Hall. The event will run each day from 11 AM to 7 PM.

On top of food and beverage trucks, there will be a lineup of indie games demos for you to try. As Mike Wilson, co-founder of Devolver Digital, has said in a recent press release:

“This is the week the entire industry and fans everywhere celebrate video games as entertainment and art with numerous events now happening across Los Angeles. Indie Picnic is our way of giving back to the fans and celebrating a mutual love for games and art.”

Are any of you attending E3 this year, Fanatics? Are you looking forward to see what Devolver Digital has to share? Let us know!
