Deadpool Among Many Activision's Marvel Games Pulled from Steam

If you were keeping close tabs on the Steam Holiday Sale these past few days, you might have noticed that Deadpool was pulled from a recent Community’s Choice vote. This was because Deadpool was one of the many Activision games that were licensed from Marvel that had its license expire on December 31st. As a result, every single one of these games has been pulled from every digital storefront, including the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.

According to GameFront, the games affected include “X-Men: The Official Game, X-Men: Destiny, X-Men: Origins – Wolverine, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Spider-Man: Friend or Foe, Spider-Man: Edge of Time and Spider-Man: Web of Shadows.”

There’s been no word as to when, or even if these games will have their licenses renewed.
