Computex 2012 |NVIDIA Show Cases a New Dawn Tech Demo

Nearly six years have passed since Nvidia had shown us something resembling the tech demo code named Dawn. There were a few rumbling within the PC community of her returning to the big stage, but none of it was confirmed.

However, sometime last year Nvidia released a bit of a teaser announcing her return, along with some brand new technology integrated within their new line of Graphics Processing Units (GPU). I’m proud to say that what we’ve waited for was well worth it. The tech demo for “A New Dawn” is simply stunning. You can easily see within the tech demo a wide array of shading, texturing, advance processing, rain, wind, etc. Normally these things would cause even the most powerful gpu’s to shudder because of all the elements being loaded within the scene.

I feel pretty bold in saying that AMD is more than up a creek without a paddle at this point. Year after year Nvidia have brought their A game, but it seems AMD still insists on dragging their feet. I decided to include below the old 2006 version of ‘A New Dawn’ followed by the more recently revealed at this year’s Computex.
