In Case You Missed It – Gaming News for the Week of April 10 – 16, 2017

Welcome to another edition of In Case You Missed It, the weekly recap of all the things we forgot weren’t able to get to. You know the drill by now, so let’s get to it!

In Case You Were Wondering How Popular LoZ: BotW Was…

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is so popular that more people bought it than they did the Nintendo Switch. Let me break it down for y’all. Nintendo sold roughly 906,000 consoles in the first month since the release of the Nintendo Switch. That’s pretty good, and it’s the best that Nintendo has ever done in their first month. But the Switch version of Breath of the Wild sold 925,000 copies, which means that there are 19,000 copies of the latest Zelda game that don’t have a Switch to be played on! Then again, people have been having issues getting their hands on the console itself…

In Case You Didn’t Have a Wii U and Wanted to Play Splatoon

Well, you still can’t, but the folks over at Rockstar Games came up with the next best thing. In the new Grand Theft Auto Online mode “Land Grab,” you… play Splatoon. I wish I could say more, but that’s all you need to know. You color the floor with your team’s neon of choice and color the walls with the blood of your enemies. Go forth and conquer, my friends!

In Case You Miss Mad Catz and Their Weird Controllers…

How about this thing? It looks like Japan is gearing up for another Dragon Quest game for PS4, so they wound up making a controller shaped like a slime. Yup, that’s news.

The bad news is that the news is a little slow at the moment since a lot of the big games have already come out. But our team of writers has been churning out great pieces on the major stories. You can read up on how Nintendo is discontinuing the NES Classic, Microsoft’s new refund policy, and how Bayonetta dropped onto PC. Stick around with The Game Fanatics for more gaming news and for more In Case You Missed It!
