Capcom's Monster Hunter 3 Coming to Wii U and 3DS

Capcom has announced today that Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be releasing on Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS across Europe and North America March 2013. The leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games confirmed today that the widely successful fantasy action franchise has sold over 21 million copies since it was first released in 2004.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be the most expansive entry in the series and will utilize the functionality of the Wii U and 3DS to give players an intuitive hunting experience. Players will have the ability to use the Wii U‘s and 3DS‘ touch screen to access in-game books, weapons, field maps, and mini games. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be powered by Capcom’s MT Framework to give players a stunning and unique world to explore.

Nintendo 3DS players will have the ability to exchange their guild card containing their hunter’s information with other players via Street Pass. Adding even more to the Monster Hunter experience, players can take part in four player local play with their 3DS and hunt with Wii U players using their local wireless connection. Using the Wii U‘s and 3DS‘ inter compatibility of save data, consumers of both copies of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, can take their Wii U save on the go.
