Best Buy and Radical Entertainment Reveal Pre-Order Bonus for Prototype 2

Fans of Prototype, Radical Entertainment’s best-selling open-world action title of 2009, now have an incentive to pre-order its sequel through Best Buy before the game drops on April 24, 2012.

US fans who put their money down on Prototype 2 through the electronics retailer’s online or brick and mortar stores prior to the game’s debut gains them access to exclusive Hardened Steel Vehicle Armor. In addition, a limited edition Prototype 2 poster accompanies all advance purchases, while supplies last.

Ken Rosman, Studio Head of Radical Entertainment, boasts the benefits of pimping out the game’s all-new infected protagonist’s ride:
“Prototype 2‘s Hardened Steel Vehicle Armor allows Sgt. James Heller to jump into any military vehicle and shrug off even the most devastating attacks. Whether fighting off individual soldiers, helicopters, tanks, and APCs or all the above at once, this upgrade provides Heller a defensive advantage as he goes head-to-head against everything the enemy Blackwatch forces throw at him.”
The upcoming release from Activision Publising, Inc. “takes the unsurpassed carnage of the original Prototype and continues the experience of becoming the ultimate shape-shifting weapon.” To see the invincibility of the Hardened Steel Vehicle Armor in action, click on the clip below.

While the new game undergoes development for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC platforms, players can join the “Prototype Army” on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/prototype, a family of almost 400,000 fans who get the latest announcements and exclusive looks on game assets.

To guarantee your ability to cut a bloody swathe through the wastelands of post-viral New York Zero, be sure to pre-order your copy of Prototype 2 here: http://www.bestbuy.com/prototype2.
