Batman: Arkham Knight Finally Returning to PC

After a disastrous launch a few months ago, Rocksteady and Warner Bros. trilogy-capping Batman: Arkham Knight is returning to PC on October 28.

Hey, remember Batman: Arkham Knight? That was sure a thing, wasn’t it?

That’s a joke, of course. Batman: Arkham Knight is one of the biggest and most important games of the year, in both game content and in controversy. When Arkham Knight released four months ago in the middle of June, it was accompanied by one of the most extravagantly broken PC versions of recent memory, bordering on unplayable for pretty much all players. The quality of the PC port was so terrible that, on June 24th, Rocksteady and Warner Bros. pulled the game off of Steam and other PC platforms until the issues could be fixed – a nearly unheard of drastic measure.

News on Batman: Arkham Knight’s return to PC has been scarce since, until yesterday, when Warner Bros. announced that the game will be returning to PC on October 28th.

In addition to hopefully making the game playable, the re-release will come with a patch to bring the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight up to feature parity with the console versions; Photo Mode, Big Head Mode, and character selection in the game’s AR challenges will now be available.

Owners of Arkham Knight’s Season Pass will also have all currently available content unlocked for them, including Batgirl: A Matter of Family, the Red Hood, Harley Quinn, and Nightwing story packs, and all the skins, Batmobile tracks, and AR missions.

Console exclusive DLC will not be making its way to the PC at this time, and there has been no announced bonus content for the long wait. Which is surprising, because, I mean, damn.

[toggle title=”Batman: Arkham Knight – PC Release Date Announced”]At 10 am PDT, Oct. 28th, Batman: Arkham Knight will be re-released for the PC platform. At the same time we’ll also be releasing a patch that brings the PC version fully up-to-date with content that has been released for console (with the exception of console exclusives). This means that next week, all PC players will have access to Photo Mode, Big Head Mode, Batman: Arkham Asylum Batman Skin, and character selection in combat AR challenges. Season Pass holders will have access to all content released since launch. We want to give particular thanks to the members of the PC community who took the time to give us clear, detailed feedback and bug reporting. Now, get out there and Be The Batman! – Warner Bros.
