Awesomenauts Coming to PlayStation 4

PlayStation 4 is getting some “awesome” treatment with Awesomenauts blasting its way to the upcoming next-generation console. Ronimo and Abstraction Games are teaming up to bring the latest version of Awesomenauts to the PlayStation 4 with all of the features found in the PC version of the side scrolling MOBA.

Following its success of close to a million units sold on the current generation of platforms, Ronimo and Abstraction Games look to continue with a next gen release. This new release will include updating and fixing the current code and gameplay of the first iteration, and will include an extra map, and even the doubling in size of the characters, with DLC giving players the ability to customize their characters skins.

For players unfamiliar with Awesomenauts, it takes place in the year 3587, involving a huge conflict between robot armies fighting for galactic power over the most powerful group of mercenaries in the universe, the Awesomenauts. Players have the option to fight as droid armies, space cowboys, gangsta rapping frogs, and giant robots fighting for galactic supremacy. Awesomenauts incorporates team based competitive arena play, with MOBA action and 3-on-3 action platforming. Players have the ability to play online with friends in a party and also local split screen.

Awesomenauts is currently available on Steam, Xbox LIVE Arcade, and PlayStation Network, and of course, now coming soon to PlayStation 4.
