Atlus Streams Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Opener

Atlus’ sequel to the Persona 4 Arena project will be landing on the shelves of the rising sun this Thursday, so it’s no surprise that the company is streaming a few of the game’s content to the internet today. What better video to get first than an anime style opener?

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax serves as an added bonus to the original 2-D fighter, Persona 4 Arena. The game is set to follow up on the original story involving the staged fighting tournament taking place inside the Midnight Channel. In Ultimax. The P1 – Climax is starting to stir up some more fights, which means that Yu Narukami, Chie Satonaka and plenty of other Persona 4 and Persona 3 characters are returning to squared circle. There will be a couple of new faces, of course.

The opening trailer released is just what you expect from Atlus. Characters in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax are shown gearing up for battle, followed by their names sliding across the screen. If you’ve watched any form of anime, then you know what to expect to see here.

You can check out the full opening scene for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax below. The game is still set to hit stateside on Sept. 30.
