Asus Transformer Prime to Launch on Dec. 12 Online, Dec. 19 Retail

We now have an official release date on when the Asus Transformer Prime will be released. Earlier rumors suggested that we may see the Tranformer Prime on December 8th. As with most rumors it turned out be untrue, and we wont see the tablet until Dec. 12th if you purchase it online or Dec. 19th if you buy it at a retail store. There currently is no word on when the 3G models will hit US shores.

The pricing for the Asus Transformer Prime will start at  $499 for the 32GB version and go up to $599 for the 64GB version. The keyboard dock that we have been seeing in ads for the tablet will sell separately at $149. You can check out Asus’ promotional video for the tablet below.
