Republic of Gamers Launches Rampage VI Series Motherboards

Rampage VI Apex

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) have added more tools in their attempt to make a place in high end gaming with the launch of their Rampage VI series motherboards. Based on Intel’s new X299 platform, the Rampage VI Extreme and Rampage VI Apex motherboards are designed to get the maximum output from PCs.

The Rampage VI Extreme is built for dream machines with custom liquid cooling and ultra-fast networking ports. In addition, the Rampage VI Apex targets peak game performance and high end overclocking. Both boards have intelligent fan controls for optimal performance and quiet acoustics. Sensor grouping lets your cooling react to workloads, including GPU-heavy gaming via direct temperature monitoring for select graphic cards.

The boards also have LEDs embedded to illuminate the system. The lighting is part of the Aura Sync ecosystem, which syncs with ROG compatible graphic cards, peripherals, and monitors. Additionally, both boards come equipped with the latest generation of SupremeFX integrated audio. This means that the boards boost enhanced recording quality for streamers looking to have their voice come through clearly.

The Rampage VI Apex is clearly the choice for high end gaming performance. The board is purpose-built for setting records at sub-zero temperatures with exotic liquid helium. According to ASUS, the Rampage VI Apex hit the highest CPU frequency for an Intel Core i7 processor with 7.562GHz on all four cores and eight threads. As a board pushed as the top end for gamers, it is hard to argue with those types of numbers.

The Rampage VI Extreme and Rampage VI Apex motherboards will be available soon from retailers in North America. The Extreme model is priced at $649.99 while the Apex is set at $429.99.
