Amazon Prime Day is Arriving on July 12

Amazon Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day, the greatest Amazon sale event, is back. The big retailer is offering over 100,000 deals for Amazon Prime members on July 12 , and of course, this will include relevant sales for gamers.

Forget about Black Friday and Cyber Monday and their lousy, down-to-Earth numbers. The truly, biggest deal event is about to repeat itself in two weeks, on July 12. The colossal retailer Amazon is repeating another year with their Amazon Prime Day, a one-day sale event that will bring more than 1o0,000 deals to buyers in the US, Canada, UK, Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Belgium and Austria.

The offers will extend across nearly all department and product categories – so there’s definitive something on stock for everyone. As the name indicates though, these offers will only be available for those members of the Prime program, who pay $99 a year for unlimited two-day shipping, exclusive access to movies and other wonders. Good news are, that even if you apply now for a 30-day trial version you can join the July madness too.

According to Cnet, Amazon is focusing this year on TV and toy deals. We are inclined to think that games could easily fall within the second category – at least we hope so!

Amazon Prime Day: Between Numbers and Problems

Amazon launched their Prime Day last year to make it coincide with their 2oth anniversary celebrations. To say that this was a success in terms of numbers would be probably an understatement. New subscriptions for Prime rocketed like nuts and worldwide members ordered 398 items per second, exceeding Black Friday records at the time.

However, the sale did not go without their portion of trouble. The #PrimeDayFail hashtag was created by many customers that complained about the lack of in-demand deals and the fact that there was not enough inventory to support the rush – which was true. It seems Amazon has taken some steps this year to avoid this situation and give a smoother day to everyone.

But, you know, there’s only one truly sale we care about and that is videogames, hardware and peripherals. Stay tuned to The Game Fanatics as we’ll make sure to cover the hottest gaming deals for you. After all, a day is a day and it runs fast!
