Alien: Isolation Keeps DLC Handy for Close Encounters

Alien fans can soon relive the terror of viewing the original film now that Creative Assembly has given us the chance to step into the shoes of the Nostromo Crew in the newly announced “Crew Expendable” DLC for Alien: Isolation.

Players will be able to choose between the Nostromo’s Captain Dallas, Engineer Parker, or the main Alien protagonist herself Ellen Ripley. The DLC in Alien: Isolation will be based on “What if” scenarios occurring directly after the Crew has made first contact with the Alien itself. Each character will feature slightly different gameplay and inventory load-outs, possibly similar to that of the Resident Evil franchise.

An additional DLC named “Last Survivor” was announced that will only feature Ellen Ripley and will take place during her desperate escape from the Nostromo at the end of the first Alien film. None of this should be confused with Amanda Ripley, the daughter of Ellen, and protagonist (featured below) of Alien: Isolation.

The official pre-order retailer for Last Survivor hasn’t been announced yet but Alien: Isolation will release on October 7th of this year for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
