New Cinematic Trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us

Injustice: Gods Among Us, a new fighter from NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros, is based on the DC Universe, and this new trailer highlights its graphics and some playable characters.  Among the ranks, the video shows combat involving the Flash, Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman.

A mash-up of sorts, Injustice draws from multiple comic lines within the DC universe, and features costumes and outfits from the NEW 52, a reboot of the DC comic book line’s 52 most loved series.  Taking on a more adult feel, the game is realistic and gritty graphically, with a fair amount of blood, lending a gloomy touch to characters from comics just as dark.

Graphically, this game looks fantastic.

The stages for fighting range across fan-favorites like Metropolis, the Fortress of Solitude, and of course, the Batcave.  Graphics-wise, the game looks great, from both these locations and more, to the character models, and seems to capture that DC feel.  With Injustice: Gods Among Us releasing in April of this year, these nods to each of the series’ involved are sure to please DC comic book fans, but as the solid-looking fighter it’s shaping up to be, odds are it will please fans of the genre in general.

Whether in it for a fun homage to our favorite superheroes, or as a rough-and-tumble fighting game, it looks like players are sure to win with Injustice: Gods Among Us.
